A Long Eaton locksmith,

Local Nottingham locksmiths covering Long Eaton. Lockouts, lock changes, uPVC repairs and burglary work, with labour rates, estimated parts and VAT given on the call.
Long Eaton sits in NG10, about 8 miles south-west of central Nottingham and roughly 20 minutes in the van depending on traffic through Attenborough or Sandiacre. It's a working town with a mix of Victorian and Edwardian terraces closer to the centre, 1960s and 70s semis spreading out towards the edges, and some newer estate builds further out. We get a steady flow of work here, everything from domestic lockouts to cylinder upgrades on older mid-century stock where the original locks haven't been touched in decades.
The older streets near the town centre tend to have traditional timber front doors with ageing five-lever mortice locks, some of them well past their best. Out towards the Sawley and Toton fringes you're into uPVC territory with euro cylinders, many of them standard profiles that are easy targets. We come in along the A6005 from Beeston or cut through on the A52 depending on where in town you are. Long Eaton has more cheap replacement euro cylinders fitted by previous owners than almost anywhere else we cover, which keeps us busy on upgrade work.

- Lock change after a relationship breakdown or tenant move-out, common on the rental stock near the town centre

- Garage door lock repairs on the 1970s semis where the original handles and barrels have finally given up
